I’ve been building homes as a superintendent for the past 10 years, and I’ve worked in the construction trades since I was 14. I don’t say this lightly when I tell people this is the company you want installing your HVAC system. Josh isn’t a salesman and that was a huge plus for me. He’s a true master of his trade. There were no upsells, no pressure, and no gimmicky sales pitch, just honest recommendations and quality workmanship. Another thing that sets him apart is that Josh is the one installing your system, not a random crew you’ve never met. That level of accountability is hard to find these days. There are cheaper contractor but HVAC isn’t where you want to hire the cheapest bid. You want the most skilled installer. Most top brand equipment is comparable. The quality of the installation is what determines how well your system performs and how long it lasts. Trust me, I rarely write reviews, but Josh earned this one. As a paranoid control freak, I watched every second of his install. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for an HVAC contractor.

Josh was excellent to work with on our recent AC repair. He was prompt, communicated well, and helped get my system in better shape than ever. He came highly recommended from an electrician we know and trust. And, he lived up to the recommendation 100%!

Areas of the home were very cold in the winter and the boiler was obviously not functioning properly. High Country Air inspected the boiler system finding a few significant issues. They were explained in detail and in very understandable terms. New parts were required for the repair. After finding and purchasing the new parts Josh installed everything and got the system back up and running. My 15 year old boiler looked as if it was brand new, he cleaned it inside and out and and when he was done with everything, the result was absolutely amazing. High Country Air will be the only company I will call in the future. Thank you so much for the outstanding service!

We highly recommend Josh Eker, owner of High Country Air, for all HVAC projects. Josh completed a large project at our home in May 2026 and we are very satisfied. He replaced two 31-year-old furnaces with two high efficiency furnaces. We have never had AC in this house. Josh installed two central AC units. He also installed two new humidifiers and two smart thermostats. The installation was quite complex and involved lots of ductwork, and venting for fresh air and exhaust. It also included leveling an outside area and building a small retaining wall so the condensers could be put on the side of our house. All inspections on this multi-faceted job were passed. We received estimates from six different contractors, because they each offered different brands and suggested different sizes of furnaces and AC units. Most of the estimators were polite but were not the people who would actually do the install. They were not able to fully explain the reasons behind their equipment recommendations. Josh was quite a contrast. He very carefully examined our house HVAC system during preparation of his bid. He thoroughly explained his reasoning for the furnace and air conditioner capacities he selected and the work that would be done during installation. He was able to patiently answer all our many questions. Josh provided a detailed bid at a very fair price. Josh did much of the installation himself, with helpers who were quite competent. They were very polite, friendly, respectful of our home, and were good at cleaning up too! Josh was very good at communicating and keeping us informed every step of the way. With 20+ years of experience installing and repairing systems from several brands, Josh has a thorough knowledge of everything HVAC. He is a skilled problem solver, and meticulous and precise in all of his work, which are all necessary attributes for excellent HVAC installation. We would not hesitate to call on Josh of High Country Air again.

Exceptional service! Happy they were easy to make an appointment time, courteous, and went above and beyond to provide help. We scheduled a service appointment and he used his expertise to address the builders thermostat setup was not correct on our Trane thermostat. Took care of the service appointment and took extra time to check and correct the thermostats settings which he did not have to do. Looked like he had modern tools to support his service.
